Seed Libraries

A seed library is a community-based resource that lends seeds to gardeners of all skill levels, promoting the sharing of plant varieties. The end goal is to operate similar to a traditional library, where people can check out seeds, grow them, and then return a portion of the harvested seeds to the library to build a supply of locally adapted plant seeds.

Both the Kimberley and Cranbrook Public Libraries are running their version of a Seed Library with support from the Kimberley Cranbrook Food Network. We encourage you to see what seeds they have in stock - and check out any other resources they might have available!
